The Process

As a client of ClearMyRecord.com, it is very important to us that you understand the administrative process we will follow to complete your application's preparation and submission.

Upon enrollment, your file is automatically processed and placed with the appropriate experienced regional team which will handle your case from start to finish. Discovery begins immediately with our automatic document retrieval process for background reports, probation reports, court depositions and proper applications.

Your team is made up of experienced attorneys and counselors highly trained in expungement, sealing, and executive clemency procedures and committed to getting results.

Once you've enrolled with ClearMyRecord.com, your file will begin in preliminary processing. It will take 3 to 5 business days for preliminary processing to be completed. During this stage, a Notice of Intent and the Welcome Packet are mailed to you. The Notice of Intent serves as official documentation that the legal process to clear your record has been initiated by ClearMyRecord.com and is actively in progress.

Many employers and landlords accept this notice in lieu of final discharge of convictions, creating employment and housing opportunities much sooner than absolute court approval.

Next, your file will enter the Document Retrieval stage. During this stage, ClearMyRecord.com will attempt to acquire the documentation necessary to process your application. This documentation includes, but is not limited to, Criminal Record History, Court Disposition paperwork, applications, etc.

Once the proper documents are obtained, the processing of your application begins. At this point, you will receive, by email or postal mail, preliminary questions needed to process your application. Once your application is processed, it is assembled and forwarded to proofing for quality review.

After approval by the proofing department, your application is mailed to you. Within the packet are instructions for filing and pre-labeled envelopes for mailing.

Rapid Processing Option
The RapidRemedy processing option is available to all customers. RapidRemedy processing will provide you with a completed application packet and detailed filing materials within 14 business days. The 14 business day period begins upon receipt of all required documentation to process the customer's file. The Director of Operations will contact the customer to notify them when the information gathering is complete and that the 14 business day processing period has begun. See our Terms & Conditions for additional detail about the RapidRemedy processing option.

The Critical Difference

Research & Reporting
Having your record cleared by the courts is not the same as leaving the past behind you. Hundreds of databases contain your record and unless ClearMyRecord.com contacts each of them on your behalf, those databases will probably never be updated. Courts simply don't have the resources to contact the governmental, commercial, or private databases that contain information about you. Only ClearMyRecord.com is devoted to clearing your record in your county, your state, nationwide, and on the World Wide Web! With our exclusive RSVP software, commercial databases are automatically sent supporting documentation to clear your record, once and for all, from their files.
